Using Dockable Properties Sheets

The dockable properties sheets provide a quick way to view and edit the information about the selected item in the Design Workspace.

When you select an Item (WorkLocation, Facility, or Assignment), the corresponding Properties, Extended Properties/Feature Editor, Custom/More Properties will be displayed in the tabs in a Dockable Properties Sheets.

To Toggle the Display of Dockable Properties Sheets

From the view menu, select Dockable Properties.

In-Place Edit

In a Dockable Properties Sheet tab, when you double click on a property value, the appropriate in-place Edit control will be displayed based on the property type for properties that are editable.

Save and Cancel

Save

In Dockable Properties Sheet, after editing the values, when you select the Save icon on the top left corner of the Dockable Properties Sheet, the change will be saved to the appropriate Item (WorkLocation, Facility, and Assignment) and will be refreshed in the Design Workspace.

Cancel

In Dockable Properties Sheet, after editing the values, when you select the Cancel icon on the top left corner of the Dockable Properties Sheet, all the changes to the page will be undone.

Switching Tabs or Selecting a New Item in the Design Workspace

If you have made changes without saving, you will be prompted that "changes are not yet saved" and allowed to save or discard the changes.
